Christian’s Pov
The first time I learned I had an estranged aunt, I was nine. The first time I spoke to her behind my father’s back, I was eighteen. The first time she asked me to visit the mansion my family had cast her out of, I was twenty-one—and I turned her down. I was busy. A few months later, she was gone. Guilt tore through me. Eleanor had wanted to see me one last time, and I’d said no. Now, the mansion she loved more than anything was being sold, and it felt like the final nail in the coffin. So, on impulse, I decided to spend one last summer there. That’s where I met her. Tina Westwood. Eleanor’s goddaughter—fierce, and determined to save the mansion at any cost. Maybe that’s why the summer heat turns unbearable so fast. Or maybe it’s because of the chemistry we can’t seem to ignore. Too bad whatever happens at Whale Mansion stays at Whale Mansion.
Tina’s POV
My mission was simple: save Whale Mansion. I couldn’t save Eleanor, but I could protect the legacy she left behind—no matter what it took. Even if it meant selling my soul to the devil. Then Christian Vaughn showed up. Eleanor’s estranged nephew. Handsome, wealthy, and curious about the aunt he never really knew. If anyone could help me save the mansion, it was him. All I had to do was convince him. By any means necessary. But the more time we spend together, the harder it becomes to separate my plan from my feelings. The chemistry between us is explosive, and the lines between strategy and desire blur with every stolen glance and lingering touch. This summer fling was supposed to be a means to an end… so why does it feel like it could be the beginning of something real?
To the wild, impossible summers that change everything—
And to the brave heart dares to love in the middle of letting go.
